We know that everyone loves their own gear but sometimes it just can’t make the trip.
Guide your own trip with friends and family on the North Fork or Middle Fork of the Flathead River. There are some great family friendly sections to get out and enjoy the river while visiting Glacier National Park.
Advanced equipment reservations are recommended and can be made by calling our office at 1-406-387-5340 (800-735-7897). The pickup and drop off location is at our resort in West Glacier, Montana just outside the West Entrance of Glacier National Park, 1 mile west on U.S Highway 2.

Paddleboarding (also known as SUPing) is a great way to enjoy the Montana summer sunshine when your in Glacier National Park. Great Northern offers paddleboard rentals, or SUP rentals, that can be used in the Glacier Park area on both local lakes and in Glacier National Park. We’ve got some great local lakes with public access that we can help direct you to. Stop in and grab one of our paddle board rental boards for a fun morning or afternoon on the water!
Lake McDonald just inside the Glacier National Park west entrance is an amazing place to paddle around. You’ll have majestic mountain views in the background while you cruise around the lake.
Feeling a confident in your SUP skills? Try floating down lower McDonald Creek or give the Middle Fork of the Flathead River. Grab a SUP, a sack lunch, and go spend the day exploring the area.
Middle Fork Shuttles
All of our shuttles are based out our main office at the Great Northern Resort just outside the West Entrance of Glacier National Park, 1 mile west on U.S Highway 2. We are able to provide shuttles with either your vehicles or ours depending on your needs. Unfortunately, due to National Park restrictions, we are not able to shuttle within Glacier National Park.
