Is whitewater rafting safe?

Yes, we use high-quality gear and we follow strict safety protocols to ensure a safe and fun experience for all.

Can kids go whitewater rafting?

Yes. Kids may go rafting but it is river level dependent. They must be at least 50lbs.Exceptions can be made, but the child MUST be able to fit into a Great Northern approved life jacket.

Whitewater trips: The child MUST be able to fit into a Great Northern approved life jacket and a minimum weight of 50lbs. Youth must be at least three (3) years older than the posted river level. Example: River level = 5 feet minimum age = 8 years old

Scenic Trips: Youth must be at least the same age as the current river level.
Example: River level = 5 feet minimum age = 5 years old

What should I bring to go whitewater rafting in Montana?

We recommend wearing quick-drying clothing, secure footwear (no sandals or flip-slops), sunglasses with a strap, sunscreen and a water bottle.
