WILDERNESS MEDICINE

WILDERNESS MEDICINE & WILDERNESS FIRST AID CLASSES

Wilderness First Aid is an entry into the world of wilderness medicine. We will focus on river emergencies and provide the necessary training for individuals intending to guide professionally or individuals looking looking for a foundation for remote wilderness medicine. This is not your standard WFA. We take pride in providing the most relevant training for each student. Therefore, know that this class will incorporate the appropriate river scenarios and the common medical issues that river runners deal with.

This course will prepare you for the unexpected in a fun, hands-on introduction to wilderness medicine, taught over two and a half days. Although we tailor this class towards river emergencies, if you like to spend time in remote areas, work at wilderness camps, enjoy weekend family outdoor activities out of town, or recreate outdoors, this course is for you.
