Below, you’ll see the extra precautions we’re taking to help you decide when you’re ready to travel again. As you prepare for your rafting, hiking, fishing, and biking adventures with us, know that Great Northern will be following enhanced protocols recommended by CDC and the State of Montana in reaction to COVID-19. Please familiarize yourself with these guidelines prior to traveling to West Glacier for your visit with us.
Lodging Cleaning & Sanitization
Our cleaning chemicals met the CDC guidelines for approved cleaners before COVID was a thing! We have introduced some additional cleaning protocols in our shared spaces. Cleaning will be frequent and thorough.
In our lodge and cabins, we’ve removed unnecessary touch points and have applied extra-stringent room cleaning protocols between each guest stay.
You’ll also find hand sanitizer stations at office and lodge room entrances. In addition, we’ve installed them in the public spaces around the rafting area.
Trip Group Size
We want you to know that on our rafting and fishing trips have always been smaller groups and we don’t try to overpack our rafts. This offered plenty of room for guest spacing even before COVID socially distancing was a thing! Our fishing trips have always hosted 1-2 guests per guide with plenty of spacing in the boat. Our average rafting group size is typically around 8 guests per raft trip.
